Week 2 Update! Skeletonization!!!

 

When I say this experiment is not for the week stomached, I mean it!

Subject #1 which is kept at a constant 85 degrees Fahrenheit is in a full forward motion towards skeletonization. In fact, when I tried to lift him out of the container for weight updates, his tail ripped off. Clearly, his soft tissue is actively decomposing as most of his hair is already gone. He also lost over .2 oz in weight over the last week bringing total weight loss to .3 oz. 

Subject #2 which is kept at 43 degrees Fahrenheit, has not yet entered the active decompensation phase and has made little to no progress over the last 8 days. There was no change in weight loss.

Subject #3 Which is kept at 72 degrees Fahrenheit lost .1 oz's this week bring his total to .1oz's lost over the 15-day time frame so far.
